How the engagements worked
The work took different forms: direct employment, consulting and client-side delivery. That distinction matters when reading the timeline.
Direct employment. BCS Information Systems employed me for thirteen and a half years. Apar Infotech placed me there before I joined BCS directly, while Cognizant employed me and deployed me to its clients.
Client-side engagements. In the United States, I often worked client-side: sometimes leading my own team, more often delivering through teams.
Organisation vs employer. The organisation column shows where the work happened, which wasn’t always the organisation that employed me.
Singapore: payment systems and enterprise delivery
In Singapore, my work moved deep into financial infrastructure: MEPS+ for the Monetary Authority of Singapore and payment systems for the Central Bank of Bahrain. A Chairman’s Recognition Award for the MEPS+ work.
MEPS+ went live in 2006 after three years in which I helped build it, and I came back to it through later SWIFTNet releases and technology refreshes.
Building at scale in the United States
The work expanded into enterprise applications, data platforms, cloud architecture and integration. At State Farm, the largest programme involved ten delivery teams. I led one and carried alignment across the others and up to management, mostly through influence rather than reporting lines.
Machine learning to agentic systems
Machine learning entered my work in 2019 through a computer-vision pilot for warehouse packing, and real-time asset intelligence.
In 2025, the focus shifted to agentic systems: software that could move beyond prediction and begin to act.
